Proud breeders of 2016/17 QTIS Horse of the Year PARADIS IMPERIAL

Impressive record to uphold at this month’s March Sale

MARCH 13, 2018.

The Gainsborough Lodge sales team heads to the Bundall bloodstock auction complex of Magic Millions later this week determined to uphold a very impressive March Yearling Sale record.

Since the re-positioning of the stud in late 2015, Gainsborough Lodge has consigned no fewer than 17 youngsters for the auction (2016 & 2017) and has successfully sold each and every one. This is fundamentally due to the fact that we, a) offered the right type of horse at what amounts to be the leading bloodstock assembly for Queensland's racing stables, and b) very much met the market on both occasions.

With a top price of $75,000, buyers have found that they can acquire a potential racehorse from Gainsborough Lodge without breaking the bank. In turn, related success stories provide substantial reason for likely purchasers attending the 2018 renewal to make sure that our draft is amongst the first to be inspected.

Of course, heading our list of past graduates is 2016/17 QTIS Horse of the Year, Paradis Imperial. A $9000 purchase at the 2016 Magic Millions March Yearling Sale, Paradis Imperial went on to win seven of 12 starts as a 2-year-old and has earned her connections $348,250 in prizemoney and bonuses at the time of writing.

Paradis Imperial's half-sister Ardoyne Road has also flown the flag for Gainsborough Lodge — albeit with one solitary outing! Bought by Toowomba trainer Tony Sears at the 2017 Magic Millions March Yearling Sale, the untapped daughter of Top Echelon stamped herself as another notable talent bred, raised, reared and sold by Gainsborough Lodge when winning her only juvenile start to date by more than three lengths and earning her connections $100,000-plus in the process.

It is with great anticipation that the Gainsborough Lodge sales team will present a half-brother by Bradbury's Luck to both Paradis Imperial and Ardoyne Road at the March Yearling Sale. Catalogued as Lot 381, the brown/grey colt is the seventh foal of Hennessy Beau, a mare that  has also produced the winners Lucky Beau and Tazlina (both of which were also sired by Bradbury's Luck).

In addition to the half-brother to Paradis Imperial and Ardoyne Road, Gainsborough Lodge's March Sale consignment also features colts by the very popular Queensland-based stallions Love Conquers All, Falvelon and Rothesay, as well as daughters of Mossman and Poet's Voice (GB). Furthermore, some are closely related to major domestic Group 1 winners Star Witness, Heat of the Moment and Macedon Lady, while all eight (Lots 172 & 297 have been withdrawn) members of our draft are QTIS qualified.
